In 1957, in the midst of changing technologies and exciting new advances in both the radio and television mediums, Charlotte broadcaster William A. Vaughn blazed a trail toward an educational facility that would provide hands-on training in all aspects of the growing broadcast industry. Supported by a group of area broadcasters, on January 2, 1957 history began with the very first class at the Carolina School of Broadcasting.
Today, Carolina School of Broadcasting, accredited by the ACCSCT, is the oldest stand alone broadcasting school in America. With thousands of graduates throughout the United States of America, Canada and Europe, Carolina School of Broadcasting is proud of its heritage and the success of its graduates.
While major events are planned, the most important invitation of all is the one we extend to potential students to become CSB graduates.
Former students, graduates and associates of CSB are invited to join the celebration by providing updated contact information: click here
